WHO I AM
I'm a filmmaker from Pakistan, now based in the USA. I grew up surrounded by stories that never made it to screen, and that's what pulled me toward creating. My short documentary Surfers of Silver Linings took me back to one of Karachi's islands, where interviews with its people and children gave voice to lives full of struggle and quiet determination. It won Best Documentary at the National Amateur Short Film Festival 2022, but the real reward was confirming what I've always believed, the most powerful stories are often the ones right in front of us.
MY APPROACH
I’ve always been more interested in people than in cameras. The gear, the training, and the technique all exist to serve the story and the person at its center. Whether I'm working on a quick 30-second reel or a full-length documentary, I bring the same care and attention to every project. I've worked across different formats and cultures, handling everything from the first idea to the final cut, and no matter the size of the project, what matters most to me is staying true to the story and the people behind it.
